Im in the Club!

You might be surprised to know that the newborn photography industry is completely unregulated. Photographers like me, who take safety extremely seriously, have to take it upon ourselves to be trained and educated on how to ensure the beautiful images we create, are done safely. Before I had ever even photographed a newborn baby I went on a training course with one of the countries top newborn photographers and leading trainers in newborn safety. Take a look at KW Photography for some wonderful images.

So I am delighted to tell that that I am now a member of BANPAS (Baby and Newborn Photography Association) Check out there website and you will also be able to find me on their directory of photographers

This is worldwide organisation that exists to support photographers like me, who want to have access to safety training and resources that we can use to provide clients like you with a better service.

They also have a fabulous facebook page for pregnant and new parents with lots of handy information, why not pop over and take a look?

I will be posting a blog in a few weeks time showing you what is meant when photographers talk about creating "composities". Very basically this is when your photographer takes two images and merges them into one using the wonders of Photoshop. So when you come for a session with me, I may ask at times for you to assist in supporting your baby, in photography terms this is known as a 'spotter' and is done to ensure the absolute safety of your baby at all times. If you can't wait for my blog, then this link will give you an overview of how some poses with newborns are achieved safely.

I’d be delighted to chat to you about how I can create a beautiful gallery of images for your newborn and very happy to chat to you about how I do that safely. Please contact me here for booking and availability information.

Have a good week!
